There are many methodologies about managing a project, and our objective is not telling you with one is right or wrong, but instead provide you with a set of tools that allow you to manage and track your projects and at the same time be visible and collaborate with your team members.
In all projects there are basic tasks that a project manager needs to perform like:
- Coordinate with the sponsors the requirements.
- Manage risks/opportunities/changes.
- Manage the work of their teams.
- Manage the costs.
- Deliver and coordinate with the sponsors the acceptance tests.
Some of the common problems that most of the projects have:
- Not been able to map requirements to tasks.
- Been overload with documents (sometimes hundreds).
- Not having test cases for every task.
- Not been able to track bugs/problems.
- Not been able to track changes, who requested, who approved it and what is/was the impact on the project.
- Not been able to have collaboration with your team members.
- Not been able to track with tasks every team member is doing done and how many errors were detected after.
